Motorcycle Licensing Information
Any person operating a motorcycle or motor scooter on public roadways in Ohio must hold a valid motorcycle or motor scooter license or endorsement. A rider may apply for a motorcycle or motor scooter- only license or a motorcycle or motor scooter endorsement for his or her driver's license.

Skills Test Waiver
Students who successfully complete the Training Wheels- MSF 3-wheel Basic Rider Course (3WBRC), will take the Ohio BMV skills test at the end of their class. If the test is passed, Motorcycle Ohio will issue students a waiver card to be presented to any Ohio BMV Deputy Registrar to gain their full motorcycle endorsement.

To receive a waiver of the state motorcycle skills test, you must present your Temporary Instruction Permit Identification Card (TIPIC), along with your Motorcycle Ohio-issued skills test waiver to a Deputy Registrar at the Ohio BMV within 60 days of course completion. Graduates under 18 years of age must meet all Graduated Driver Licensing requirements.
